Warranty Conditions

Warranty Coverage and Terms for General Customers

Warranty Policy

  1. All product models are covered by a 1-year standard warranty from the date of purchase as stated on the tax invoice, except for certain key components specified below, which are eligible for extended component warranty from the purchase date.
    • For repair services on islands other than Koh Samui and Koh Phangan, the Company will cover spare parts and labor costs only. Customers are responsible for all inter-island travel expenses.
  2. The extended warranty for key components under Clause 1 applies to the components only.
    • During the first year, the Company will cover all costs.
    • After the first year, customers are responsible for labor, travel, refrigerant system service, refrigerant, and other service charges, except for specially warranted components which may be claimed up to a maximum of two (2) times within the specified warranty period.
  3. On-site service is provided only for products that require installation, including: refrigerators, washing machines, water heaters, water pumps, hot & cold water dispensers, and air conditioners.
    • For small electrical appliances, customers must bring the product to an authorized service center.
    • If on-site service is requested for small appliances, customers must pay travel charges according to the Company's specified rates.

Warranty Conditions

  1. Customers must present a warranty card or tax invoice showing the product model and serial number when requesting service. Otherwise, the Company reserves the right to charge actual repair costs.
  2. Warranty coverage is void if the product model or serial number does not match, or if the warranty card is damaged, altered, or contains unauthorized modifications.
  3. The Company provides free repair service, including travel, labor, and spare parts, for 1 year from the purchase date, for defects caused by manufacturing or normal usage as described in the user manual.
    • If the purchase date cannot be verified, the warranty period will be determined based on the production database as defined by the Company.
  4. After the standard warranty period expires, customers are responsible for all spare parts, labor, travel, and service fees.
  5. Warranty coverage does not include damage caused by dealer installation, routine inspection, maintenance, or cleaning.
  6. Warranty service is valid only for products used within Thailand.
  7. Warranty does not cover damage caused by:
    • Commercial or business use, misuse, or improper operation
    • Natural disasters (floods, fire, lightning, storms, land subsidence, etc.)
    • Fire, chemicals, gas, abnormal electrical current or voltage
    • Damage caused by animals or insects
    • Modification, alteration, repair by unauthorized persons, customer negligence, or transportation damage
  8. Items excluded from warranty include consumable or worn-out parts, such as:
    • Internal components (e.g., rubber parts, filters)
    • External accessories (e.g., cabinet, knobs, remote controls, batteries, control buttons, copper pipes)
    • Rubber or plastic parts
    • Glass components (e.g., refrigerator shelves, glass doors, washing machine lids)

Warranty Coverage and Terms for Registered Members

Hitachi Elite Privileges

Warranty Policy

  1. This agreement is between Arcelik Hitachi Home Appliances Sales (Thailand) Ltd. ("the Company") and the customer as specified in the warranty card or tax invoice.
  2. Hitachi Elite Privileges Services.
    1. Extended warranty service that extends the standard 1-year warranty to a full 3 years from the purchase date. Coverage applies to the product unit only and is subject to these terms.
    2. Technical consultation and basic troubleshooting guidance.
    3. Participating models receive a 3-year warranty, except for specified key components with additional warranty periods.
      • For island areas other than Koh Samui and Koh Phangan, the Company covers spare parts and labor only. Travel expenses remain the customer's responsibility.
    4. During the first 3 years, the Company covers all costs for specially warranted components.
      • After 3 years, customers bear all service-related costs except for eligible component claims (maximum 2 claims).
  3. On-site service conditions remain the same as standard warranty terms.

Conditions for Hitachi Elite Privileges Members

  1. Coverage becomes effective only after successful registration within 45 days from the purchase date. Failure to register results in standard 1-year warranty only.
  2. Eligible models can be checked on the official website or at authorized retailers.
    • Excluded products: outlet items, defective products, graded goods, discontinued models.
  3. Warranty extension eligibility is determined solely by the Company's registration system.
  4. Warranty excludes installation damage, maintenance, or cleaning.
  5. If repair costs exceed product value or repair is impossible, the Company will provide a refurbished replacement of equivalent specifications. Ownership of the defective unit transfers to the Company.
  6. Warranty applies only within Thailand.
  7. Warranty exclusions include (but are not limited to):
    • Commercial use
    • Natural disasters
    • Electrical abnormalities
    • Animal or insect damage
    • Unauthorized modification or repair
    • Transportation, installation, relocation, or improper usage
    • Serial number alteration or removal
    • Third-party liability
    • War, government seizure, illegal activities
    • Nuclear contamination
    • Air pressure or vibration damage
    • Utility interruptions, software or virus-related issues
  8. Excluded parts include:
    • Consumable and wear-and-tear items
    • External accessories
    • Rubber, plastic, or glass components
    • Parts subject to deterioration, corrosion, scratches, fading, or performance degradation
